ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 5th, 2022 and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of uttering threats. It is alleged on April 5th, the youth attempted to assault another youth known to him with a pen and made threats to harm the youth, as well as another youth. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Dale Roy, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on April 5th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on April 5th, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 5th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 7th, 2022, the woman breached the conditions of her undertaking by contacting her ex-boyfriend, being within a certain distance of him, and failing to notify a change of address to police. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 5th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 21st, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
