BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Stephane Brunet, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on April 8th, 2022 and charged with two counts of breach of release order for failing to sign in to police. It is alleged on January 21st and 23rd, the man failed to report to the Cornwall Police Service, despite the conditions of his release order. An investigation ensued and the man was subsequently taken into custody on April 8th, 2022. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 8th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Mischief
  • Uttering threats
  • Breach of release order x 3 (for contacting his ex-girlfriend, attending her residence, and failing to abide by his curfew)

It is alleged on April 8th, 2022, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and an altercation ensued. During the altercation, the man allegedly assaulted the woman, made threats to kill her, and further damaged a door in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Larry Boyd, 54, of Ottawa was arrested on April 9th, 2022 and charged with assault and uttering threats. It is alleged on April 9th, 2022, during an altercation with someone known to him, the man assaulted the individual and made threats to further harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 52-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 9th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend on August 28th, 2021, the woman assaulted the man and struck him with a spice rack. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 9th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

PERSONATION WITH INTENT TO AVOID ARREST, RESIST POLICE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Quebec was arrested on April 9th, 2022 and charged with personation with intent to avoid arrest, resist police, as well as breach of release order for attending the City of Cornwall. It is alleged on April 9th, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the youth was located in the City of Cornwall, despite his conditions. The youth is further alleged to have identified as someone else to police during the investigation, and subsequently resisted a police officer when he was being taken into custody. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Anthony Flammia, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on April 10th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on April 10th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention officer and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2, THREATS, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 10th, 2022 and charged with uttering threats, theft under $5000 and two counts of domestic assault. It is alleged between December 2021 and April 2022, the man had assaulted his wife on two occasions, as well as made threats to kill her. It is further alleged, the man took money belonging to the woman without her permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 10th, 2022, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
