WARRANT

 Cornwall, ON – Patrick Rabideau-Blackadder, 36, of Ingleside was arrested on April 11th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to report to police between November 5-19, 2021, despite the conditions of his release order. An investigation ensued and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On April 11th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Starr Hill, 31, of Akwesasne was arrested on April 11th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on August 7th, 2021, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 11th, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Ottawa as the woman was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and she remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 11th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order and breach of probation order for contacting his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged on March 17th, 2022, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On April 11th, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Ottawa as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

 THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD, FRAUD UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

 Cornwall, ON – Robert Avery, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on April 11th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Unlawful use of credit card
  • Fraud under $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on June 27th, 2021, the man was in possession of an electronic device that had been reported stolen to police. It is further alleged on July 5th, 2021, the man took a motor vehicle from a Roy Avenue residence without permission, and further used a bank card that was in the motor vehicle, defrauding the victim of a quantity of money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 11th, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Ottawa, as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 11th, 2022 and charged with criminal harassment and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 11th, 2022, the man had followed his ex-girlfriend and engaged in threatening conduct. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
