CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 14th, 2022 and charged with criminal harassment and uttering threats. It is alleged between April 4-18, 2022, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend and made threats to harm the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 14th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 5th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Lee Richer, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on April 14th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on February 7th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On April 14th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 14th, 2022 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged between December 27-31, 2021, the man contacted his wife, despite the conditions of his undertaking, and police were contacted to investigate. On April 14th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 15th, 2022 and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of youth probation order for possessing a weapon. It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend on April 15th, 2022, the woman assaulted him with a pair of scissors. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Justin Lupien, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on April 15th, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on April 15th, 2022, the man damaged a wall in a residence that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH, RESIST POLICE, THREATS, WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 16th, 2022 and charged with the following:

• Criminal harassment
• Breach of undertaking x 6 (for contacting her ex-boyfriend, being anywhere he is found to be, and failing to keep the peace)
• Uttering threats
• Resist police

She was also arrested on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend court on March 1st, 2022 for multiple previous offences.

It is alleged between December 2021 and April 2022, the woman had repeated contact with her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions, and was further located in his company during an unrelated investigation. On April 16th, 2022, police located the woman, who made threats to kill a police officer. She was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Stephane Brunet, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on April 16th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence. It is alleged on April 16th, 2022, the man had left his residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Curtis Griffith, 34, of Ottawa was arrested on April 17th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on April 6th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and further failed to notify police of a change of address. An investigation ensued and on April 17th, 2022, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Kootoo-Dupuis, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on April 17th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on February 24th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 17th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brittany Howard-Markell, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on April 18th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 21st, 2021, the woman failed to attend court for a robbery offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 18th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 2, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Claire Lafaille, 33, of no-fixed-address was arrested on April 18th, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000, as well as six counts of breach of release order for failing to remain in her residence, failing to reside at a certain residence and abide by house rules, not attend a certain business and not consume alcohol. It is alleged on April 10 and 18, 2022, the woman attended two business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the stores on either occasion. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 18th, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on April 18th, the man damaged a door in his mother’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Scott Degray, 34, of Monkland was arrested on April 18th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on April 18th, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and police were contacted to investigate. Police located the vehicle shortly thereafter and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Seventh Street. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.
