BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Montreal man was arrested on April 19th, 2022 and charged with three counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between March 30-31, 2022, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On April 19th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – David Paquette, 41, of Ottawa was arrested on April 19th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on April 19th, 2022, he attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – John Francis, 31, of Akwesasne was arrested on April 19th, 2022 and charged with operation while prohibited. It is alleged on April 19th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so. He was taken into custody while stopped at the Port of Entry on April 19th, 2022. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on April 19th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 19th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.
