CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Julie Bilotta, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on April 22nd, 2022 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged the woman repeatedly contacted someone, despite being warned to stop, and police were contacted to investigate. On April 22nd, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000, FRAUD UNDER $5000, UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Carrie Anderson, 31, of St. Andrews West was arrested on April 22nd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000, fraud under $5000, unlawful use of credit card and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on April 18th, 2022, the woman took a bank card that did not belong to her and further used it to make several purchases at local convenience stores. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 22nd, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Justin McDonald, 19, of Lunenburg was arrested on April 22nd, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on April 22nd, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol when the vehicle struck a tree in the area of Vincent Massey Drive. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, ASSAULT POLICE, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Stacy Nicholls, 43, of Cornwall was arrested on April 23rd, 2022 and charged with causing a disturbance, assault police and resist police. It is alleged while police were assisting with an unrelated matter on April 23rd, 2022, the man began yelling at police, causing a disturbance. The man is further alleged to have assaulted a police officer. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on April 23rd, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief, assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2022, the man damaged a window and door in his ex-girlfriend’s residence, as well as assaulted someone known to him and threw a knife at the person. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Thomas Quinn, 40, of Ottawa was arrested on April 23rd, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on May 13th, 2021, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged the man breached his release order between October and November 2020 by failing to report to his bail supervision program, failing to reside at an approved address, failing to reside at a designated address, and failing to notify police of a change of address. On April 23rd, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants by a member of the Ottawa Police Service. He was transported to the Cornwall Police Service where the warrants were executed and he remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, TRANSPORTATION FARE FRAUD, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Krista Grant, 33, of Ottawa was arrested on April 23rd, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000, transportation fare fraud, theft under $5000 and breach of probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 9th, 2022, the woman failed to pay for a taxi fare, and further took the debit machine from the taxi and damaged it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 23rd, 2022, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

WARRANT, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Jeremy Rozon, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on April 23rd, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with two counts of failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on February 24th, 2022 the man failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on January 13th, 2022 and February 10th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints. On April 23rd, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 25th, 2022 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police and failing to abide by his curfew. It is alleged on April 8th, 2022, the youth left his residence and had been residing somewhere else without notifying police as per his conditions. On April 25th, 2022, police located the youth during the early morning hours, outside of the hours of his curfew. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
