JOINT-FORCE OPERATION ANTAGONIST CONTINUES TO TARGET DRUG TRAFFICKING IN THE CITY OF CORNWALL

Cornwall, ON - As a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking by the Cornwall Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police Joint Street Level Enforcement Team, three individuals have been taken into custody through Joint-Force Operation Antagonist.

On April 22nd, 2022, members of the Street Level Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a Hamilton Crescent residence, as well as a Vincent Massey Drive residence. During the search, police located a quantity of methamphetamine and OxyContin. The estimated value of the seized drugs is approximately $1545.00.

During the investigation, the following individuals were taken into custody and charged with the following:

Michael Moran, 40, of Cornwall:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance - Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – OxyContin
  • Breach of probation (for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace)

He was also charged in an unrelated matter for failing to attend for fingerprints on April 1st, 2022. 

Steven Collingridge, 43, of Cornwall:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine)

Joanne Poirier-McMahon, 48, of Cornwall:

  • Traffick in a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine)

Joanne Poirier-McMahon and Michael Moran were released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022. Steven Collingridge was held for a bail hearing.

The CPS and OPP are working diligently to combat drug trafficking within the City of Cornwall and surrounding areas and would like to remind residents about the dangers of using and selling illicit drugs. WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Cloutier, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on April 27th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 9th, 2022, the man left his residence, despite the conditions of his release order. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 27th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
