WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 4th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 1st, 2022, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite having conditions of no contact with the woman, and further damaged her car windshield. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 4th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED DEVICE, BREACH OF PROHIBITION

Cornwall, ON – Frederick Renshaw, 57, of Cornwall was arrested on May 4th, 2022, and charged with the following:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Breach of prohibition order x 4

It is alleged on May 4th, 2022, during an altercation with a man known to him, he assaulted the man with brass knuckles. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
