BREAK AND ENTER, THEFT UNDER $5000, ASSAULT, ESCAPE LAWFUL CUSTODY

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 10th, 2022 and charged with assault and escape lawful custody. It is alleged on June 9th, 2022, the woman entered her ex-boyfriend’s residence without permission, caused damage inside the residence and removed a bong and a quantity of cannabis. It is further alleged on June 10th, 2022, the woman assaulted someone she did not know. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody and subsequently escaped from police. She was located shortly thereafter, taken into custody and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Kennedy, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on June 10th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on multiple occasions between May 30-June 8, 2022, the man removed a quantity of money from his place of work. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 10th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2022.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME OVER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Kristopher Nanofski, 41, of no-fixed-address was arrested on June 10th, 2022 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. It is alleged while police were investigating an unrelated matter on June 10th, 2022, the man was found to be in possession of a motor vehicle that had been reported stolen. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Kristen Levac, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on June 11th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged on January 4th, 2022 and May 12th, 2022, the woman failed to attend court and further failed to attend for fingerprints on March 30th, 2022.  It is further alleged on May 4th, 2022, the woman took a vehicle from someone known to her and failed to return the vehicle. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for her arrest. On June 11th, 2022, the woman was located during a traffic stop and resisted police. She was subsequently taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Elizabeth Allikas, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on June 12th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court and possession of a Schedule I substance, being fentanyl. It is alleged on June 9th, 2022, the woman failed to attend court for a theft offence and police were contacted to investigate. On June 12th, 2022, police located the woman and took her into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Luis Rodriguez, 29, of Ottawa was arrested on June 12th, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 3rd, 2022, the man damaged a vehicle belonging to someone known to him and police were contacted. On June 12th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2022.
