BREAK AND ENTER, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 13th, 2022 and charged with break and enter, domestic mischief and uttering threats. It is alleged during an altercation with his ex-common-law-wife on July 13th, 2022, the man forced his way into her residence, causing damage to the door, and further made a threat to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 13th, 2022 and charged with criminal harassment, and breach of probation for attending his mother’s residence and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man repeatedly contacted his mother, and further attended her residence on July 13th, 2022 despite his conditions. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter. 

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on July 13th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault, as well as two counts of breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence and attending his girlfriend’s residence. It is alleged on July 9th, 2022, the man attended his girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and assaulted the woman during an altercation. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 13th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 13th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of release order for contacting a certain person, and breach of probation for possessing a weapon. It is alleged on June 15th, 2022, the youth attended a Ninth Street business with someone he has conditions of no contact with, and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 13th, 2022, police located the man, who was allegedly in possession of a BB gun, despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
