Cornwall, ON – Deven McLaughlin, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on August 2nd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for attending a certain business. It is alleged on August 2nd, 2022, the man attended a Pitt Street business, despite his conditions, and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old individual from St. Andrews West was arrested on August 2nd, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 1st, they attended their ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 2nd, 2022, the individual was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Their name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – Derek Perkins, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on August 2nd, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on September 14th, 2021 and September 23rd, 2021, the man failed to attend court for a breach of conditional sentence order offence, as well as a possession of property obtained by crime offence, and warrants were subsequently issued for his arrest. On August 2nd, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
FRAUD UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF A FORGED DOCUMENT WITH INTENT X 2, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT, PERSONATION WITH INTENT X 2, OBSTRUCT POLICE X 2
Cornwall, ON – Khatri Moussa, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on August 2nd, 2022 and charged with the following:
- Fraud under $5000
- Possession of a forged document with intent x 2
- Utter forged document
- Personation with intent x 2
- Obstruct police x 2
It is alleged on August 2nd, 2022, the man attended a local bank, pretending to be someone else, all the while presenting documentation that did not belong to him in attempt to access funds. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man provided a false name to police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
