WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Ronald Villeneuve, 60, of Etobicoke, Ontario, was arrested on September 6th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000 and on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on June 16th, 2016, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged that the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise, and then left the store without making an attempt to pay for it. He was taken into custody by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was charged accordingly, the warrant was executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Fisher, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on September 7th, 2022, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that on September 7th, 2022, the man was operating his motor vehicle and drove into a residence in the area of Eighth Street. Police were contacted an in investigation ensued. Investigation revealed the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 29th, 2022.
