BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Mohammed Chughtai, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on September 26th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence. He was also charged with breach of probation for attending within a certain distance of a residence and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 26th, 2022, the man was observed outside of his residence and in the area of a place he has conditions to not attend. An investigation ensued and he was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on September 26th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 11th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
