THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Adam Secord, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 7th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that between October 5th and 7th, 2022, the man took property from someone without their permission and never returned it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Aaron Cancilla, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 8th, 2022, and charged with mischief under $5000 and uttering threats. It is alleged that on October 8th, 2022, the man damaged a window of a residence and made threats to harm the occupants. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Leroux, 37, of Apple Hill, Ontario, was arrested on October 8th, 2022, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that on October 8th, 2022, the man was located at a Brookdale Avenue business sleeping in his vehicle while it was still running. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Investigation revealed the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 27th, 2022.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Martin, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 8th, 2022, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that on October 8th, 2022, police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Power Dam Drive and Tollgate Road, and an investigation ensued. Investigation revealed that the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 1st, 2022.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Malyon, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on October 8th, 2022, and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation. It is alleged that on October 8th, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. On this date, the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise, and left without making an attempt to pay for it. He was taken into custody by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on October 8th, 2022, and charged with breach of probation and breach of release order. It is alleged that on October 7th, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and a release order with the relevant condition not to have indirect communication with his son. On this date, the man communicated indirectly with his son, police were contacted, and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022. His name was not released as it could identify the victim in this matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man was arrested on October 9th, 2022, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on May 13th, 2022, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 25th, 2022. His name was not released as it could identify the victim in this matter.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – Ronald Renshaw, 62, of Cornwall was arrested on October 9th, 2022, and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged that on September 21st, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 9th, 2022, the man was located, the warrant was executed, and he was released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, THREATS, BREACH OF PROBATION, OBSTRUCT POLICE, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on October 9th, 2022, and charged with assault, uttering threats, breach of probation, obstruct police, and resist arrest. On October 9th, 2022, it is alleged that the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. Furthermore, it is alleged that on this date the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and threated to cause harm to her which led to police being contacted. It is also alleged that on this date, upon police arrival, the man was obstructing the investigation and resisted when being taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it could identify the victim in this matter.
