BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 17th, 2022 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting a certain individual. It is alleged on October 17th, 2022, while police were responding to an unrelated matter, the youth was located in the company of a person they have conditions of no contact with. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Marie Lavigne, 58, of Cornwall was arrested on October 17th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on October 17th, 2022, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 8th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Menard, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 17th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on October 17th, 2022 the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 8th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 17th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on October 17th, during an altercation with her boyfriend, the woman assaulted him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 8th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
