DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 68-year-old Alexandria man was arrested on October 26th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on October 23rd, 2022, he assaulted his wife and police were contacted to investigate. On October 26th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 26th, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief and breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend and attending her residence. It is alleged on October 19th, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 26th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, POSSESSION OF BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Angel Dore, 44, and Paul Elliot, 45, both of no-fixed address, were arrested on October 26th, 2022 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime. Angel Dore was also charged with possession of break-in instruments and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 26th, 2022, police were called to investigate a disturbance and located the parties in possession of a stolen child carrier. The individuals were taken into custody, at which time the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of break-in tools. They were charged accordingly and the woman was held for a bail hearing. Paul Elliot was released to appear in court on December 8th, 2022.

HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS X 2, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 26th, 2022 and charged with two counts of harassing communications and breach of youth probation order for contacting his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between October 20-26, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On October 26th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as the conditions stem from when the man was a youth and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend on October 27th, the woman assaulted him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 15th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
