DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 31st, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on October 31st, 2022, the woman assaulted her common-law husband during an argument and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 22nd. 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80, FAIL TO STOP AFTER AN ACCIDENT

Cornwall, ON – Sasha Colon, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on October 31st, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80, and failure to stop after an accident. It is alleged on October 31st, 2022, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol when she struck a parked vehicle in the area of Baldwin Avenue and attempted to flee the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 24th, 2022.
