MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, UNLAWFULLY AT LARGE

Cornwall, ON – Hunter Byers, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on November 21st, 2022 and charged with mischief under $5000 and unlawfully at large. It is alleged on November 15th, 2022, the man tampered with his ankle monitor and was unlawfully at large. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 21st, 2022, police located the man and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on November 21st, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth failed to attend court on November 17th, 2022 for an arson offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 21st, 2022, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 21st, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the man was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Joseph Hebert, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on November 21st, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on September 19th, 2022, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 21st, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 29th, 2022.

TWO MEN CHARGED WITH BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Adrian Cameron, 47, and Louis Delorme, 42, both of Cornwall, were arrested on November 22nd, 2022 and charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. Both men were also charged with breaching conditions. It is alleged on November 21st, 2022, the men entered the residence of someone known to them without permission and removed a quantity of money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the men were located in possession of the stolen money. They were both taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Louis Delorme was also charged with five counts of theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between June and November 2022, the man attended a Second Street and Ninth Street business on multiple occasions and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the stores on any occasion. During the investigation noted above, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 22nd, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief and sexual assault. It is alleged between 2016 and 2017, the man sexually assaulted his wife. It is further alleged on November 21st, 2022, the man damaged numerous household items belonging to his wife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Hodgins, 55, and Flora Orr, 66, both of Cornwall, were arrested on November 22nd, 2022 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance. It is alleged while stopped at the Canadian Port of Entry on November 21st, 2022, the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of Hydromorphone, while the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, they were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 29th, 2022.
