THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Shaun Gilmore, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on March 6th, 2023 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on August 25th, 2022, the man removed a quantity of liquor from a Montreal Road establishment, without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 6th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2023.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 58-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 6th, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking. It is alleged on March 6th, 2023, the woman attended the residence of her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions to not contact him and not attend within a certain distance of him. An argument ensued and police were subsequently contacted. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Avery Jacco-Archambault, 26, of Long Sault was arrested on March 7th, 2023 and charged with breach of release order for failing to abide by her curfew. It is alleged on the night of March 6th, 2023, the woman was located away from her residence, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

Cornwall, ON - On March 6th, 2023 at approximately 5:15 am, the CPS was called to investigate a motor vehicle collision where a single motor vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area of Ninth Street and Laflamme Avenue.

The motorist remained at the scene and called 9-1-1, at which time emergency services attended and the pedestrian was subsequently transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The road was temporarily closed to traffic as police conducted the investigation, and it has since re-opened.

The investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
