BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 7th, 2023 and charged with breach of probation order for contacting his mother. It is alleged on March 7th, 2023, the man was in his mother’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Newington man was arrested on March 7th, 2023 and charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm (choking) and mischief under $5000. It is alleged during an altercation with his son on March 5th, 2023, the man assaulted and choked the victim, as well as damaged a wall in his ex-wife’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 7th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
