ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 20th, 2023 and charged with assault and breach of undertaking for contacting a certain person and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an altercation with someone on February 10th, the youth assaulted the person. During the altercation, the youth was also in the company he has conditions not to contact. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 20th, 2023, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – James Miller, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on March 20th, 2023 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on March 18th, 2023, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 20th, 2023, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 20th, 2023.

UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT X 2

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on March 20th, 2023 and charged with two counts of uttering a forged document. It is alleged on August 15-16th, 2022, the man had fraudulently forged stolen cheques.  Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 20th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2023.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – David Mitchell, 72, of Cornwall was arrested on March 20th, 2023 and charged with assault. It is alleged on February 14th, 2023, the man spat at someone during an altercation outside of a Ninth Street business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 20th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 25th, 2023.
