DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM X 2, THREATS X 2

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 10th, 2023 and charged with domestic assault, as well as two counts of assault causing bodily harm (choking) and two counts of uttering threats. It is alleged between June 2020 and April 2023, the man assaulted and choked his girlfriend, as well as made threats to kill her and cause bodily harm. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 10th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 10th, 2023 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats. It is alleged on April 7th, 2023, during an altercation with his son, the man assaulted him, motioned to strike him with a bat, and made threats to harm him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 10th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 18th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
