BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER, CAUSING DISTURBANCE

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth was arrested on April 19th, 2023, and charged with once count of breach of release order and one count of disturb the peace. It is alleged that on April 7th, 2023, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain inside his residence between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.. On this date, the youth was engaged in conduct that interfered with the lawful use and enjoyment of their property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the youth was outside of his residence between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. On April 19th, 2023, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
