THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Naeem Mohammad, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on August 26th, 2020 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged on July 7th, 2020, the man made threats to harm someone known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 26th, 2020, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 3rd, 2020.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ian Clarke, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on August 26th, 2020 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged while police were investigating an unrelated matter, it was learned the man changed his address and failed to notify police. An investigation ensued and on August 26th, 2020 he was taken into custody. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 12th, 2020.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – William Marshall, 67, of St. Andrew’s West was arrested on August 26th, 2020 and charged with refusal. It is alleged during a traffic stop, the man failed to provide a sample of breath to police. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 3rd, 2020.

ARSON, POSSESSION OF INCENDIARY MATERIAL, MISCHIEF OVER $5000, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on August 26th, 2020 and charged with arson, possession of incendiary material, mischief over $5000 and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on June 13th, 2020, the man took his mother’s vehicle and attended a Cumberland Street building, where he damaged the exterior of the building by painting on it. The man was also allegedly responsible for a fire that occurred in the area of the building. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 26th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released in order to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.
