SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Edward Steptoe, 40, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 25th, 2020, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2020 he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 12th, 2020.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Randy Campeau, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2020 and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was also charged with three counts of breach of release order for failing to report to his bail program and failing to report to police. It is alleged during an altercation with a man known to him on August 27th, 2020, Randy Campeau assaulted the victim with a tool. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Alyssa Printup, 30, of Akwesasne was arrested on August 27th, 2020 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints, as well as breach of undertaking for being in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle. It is alleged the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints on August 21st, 2020 and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2020, the woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop, at which time she was allegedly in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle, despite her conditions. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 17th, 2020.
