DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 3rd, 2020 and charged with two counts of domestic assault and mischief. It is alleged in August, the man assaulted his girlfriend on two occasions and damaged a door in her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 3rd, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 3rd, 2020 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for contacting his girlfriend, being within 100 metres of her, and attending her residence. It is alleged on September 3rd, 2020, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite the conditions of his release order, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on September 3rd, 2020 and charged with the following:

·         Assault

·         Breach of probation x4 (for contacting his children, being within a certain distance of them and failing to keep the peace)

·         Breach of release order x 6 (for contacting his children, being within a certain distance of them, attending a certain residence, failing to notify a change of address, failing to stay out of the City of Cornwall and failing to reside with his surety)

It is alleged between 2019 and 2020, the man had contact with his children and had attended their residence, despite his conditions. It is further alleged the man had also assaulted one of his children, as well as changed his address without notifying police. Police were contacted and investigation ensued. On September 3rd, 2020, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

ASSAULT X 2

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 3rd, 2020 and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his father and sister, the man assaulted both of the victims and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
