MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Nesbitt, 27, of Chesterville was arrested on September 8th, 2020 and charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of release order for operating a motor vehicle. It is alleged on June 12th, 2020, the man damaged a motor vehicle belonging to someone known to him. It is further alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle, despite the conditions of his release order. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 8th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – Lori McConkey, 57, of Cornwall was arrested on September 8th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000 and criminal harassment. It is alleged on September 8th, 2020, the woman attended the residence of a certain person and took a camera, despite being previously warned not to attend the residence by police. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 17th, 2020.  

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 2, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Deruchie, 46, of Cornwall was arrested on September 8th, 2020 and charged with the following:

·         Theft under $5000 x 2

·         Possession of property obtained by crime

·         Breach of probation x 3 (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged in August, the man attended two businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 8th, 2020, police located the man. He was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of stolen merchandise from another business. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Richard Natkunarajah, 33, of Oshawa was arrested on September 8th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on July 3rd, 2020, the man took a licence plate from someone he did not know while threatening to harm the victim. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 8th, 2020, the man was located by the Port Hope Police Service and taken into custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on November 17th, 2020.

OVERCOME RESISTANCE (CHOKING), THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 8th, 2020 and charged with overcome resistance (choking), uttering threats, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man choked her and made threats to kill her. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
