WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 26th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his release order by contacting and being within a certain distance of his common-law-wife on May 18th, 2020. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 26th, 2020, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 22nd, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 26th, 2020 and charged with breach of release order x 3 for contacting her boyfriend, failing to reside with her surety and failing to notify a change of address to police. She was also charged with breach of probation x 2 for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 26th, 2020, the woman was located in the company of her boyfriend, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. It is further alleged the woman had changed her address and failed to notify police of the change. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
