WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Bradley Stephenson, 27, of Cornwall was arrested n November 6th, 2020 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on August 23rd, 2020, the man forced his way into the residence of someone known to him. The man also is alleged to have assaulted another man known to him with a bat, and prevented him from leaving a residence. It is further alleged on September 7th, 2020, the man attended the residence of a certain person, despite his conditions.  Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On November 6th, 2020, the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brett Benedict, 31, of St. Regis, QC was arrested on November 6th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 24th, 2019, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 6th, 2020, the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant while stopped at the Port of Entry. The warrant was executed and the man was held in custody to await a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Cook, 59, of Cornwall was arrested on November 7th, 2020 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints, as well as breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 30th, 2020, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On November 7th, 2020 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 19th, 2020.

FRAUD UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Chase Skidders, 29, of Akwesasne and Tina Benedict, 56, of Cornwall, were arrested on November 7th, 2020 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged on November 7th, 2020, the individuals attended a Ninth Street business and attempted to return merchandise that had not been purchased. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, both individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2020.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Anson Jacco, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2020 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine), as well as breach of prohibition order for possessing a firearm. It is alleged on November 9th, 2020, the man was in possession of a BB gun, despite the conditions of his prohibition order. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine pills. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
