ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 9th, 2020 and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on October 30th, 2020, the man assaulted her, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 9th, 2020, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 9th, 2020 and charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged on November 1st, 2020, the woman damaged her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle and police were contacted to investigate. On November 9th, 2020, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 19th, 2021. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Tyra Dennison, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2020 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of property obtained by crime. As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Street Crime Unit in May, the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and a quantity of Canadian currency. On November 9th, 2020, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 19th, 2021.

WARRANTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Elton Cox, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on November 9th, 2020 on the strength of two warrants. He was also charged with breach of release order for failing to report to police and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man failed to sign in to police in August, despite his conditions, and warrants were subsequently issued for his arrest. On November 9th, 2020, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and charged accordingly. He remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 9th, 2020 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend, attending her residence, and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on November 9th, 2020, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite the conditions of his release order. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
