DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 7th, 2020 and charged with two counts of domestic assault and uttering threats. It is alleged on October 18th, 2020 and December 7th, 2020, the man assaulted his girlfriend. It is further alleged the man also made threats to harm the woman and her father. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 7th, 2020, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Martha Brown-Bazinet, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on November 9th, 2020, the woman attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 7th, 2020, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 16th, 2021.
