Cornwall, ON – Uzma Dareshani, 42, of Chateauquay, QC was arrested on December 17th, 2020 for breach of release order. It is alleged the woman failed to reside at a certain residence, despite the conditions of her release order, and police were contacted to investigate. On December 17th, 2020, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 2nd, 2021.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 17th, 2020 for breach of undertaking. It is alleged on December 17th, 2020, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite the conditions of his undertaking, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Stephane Deguire, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on December 17th, 2020 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for attending a certain residence, failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on December 17th, 2020, the man was found in a residence he had conditions not to attend. An investigation ensued and during the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 17th, 2020 and charged with assault, mischief under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an altercation with his mother, the youth punched the woman and used an edged-weapon to damage a door in the residence. Police were contacted and took the youth into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Thompson, 28, of Akwesasne was arrested on December 18th, 2020 and charged with two counts of mischief under $5000 and one count of failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on October 18th, 2020, the man attended the Port of Entry and failed to stop, causing damage to two gates. It is further alleged the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints on December 3rd, 2020. An investigation ensued and on December 18th, 2020 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 23rd, 2020.
