BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Luc Cayen, 52, of Alexandria was arrested on February 17th, 2021 and charged with six counts of breach of undertaking for failing to abide by his curfew, failing to reside at a certain address, failing to notify a change of address to police, for attending the City of Cornwall and for failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with two counts of breach of release order for failing to reside at a certain address and remain in his residence. It is alleged on February 16th, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man was located at a residence in Cornwall, despite his conditions. On February 17th, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 17th, 2021 and charged with break and enter, assault, mischief under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 17th, during an altercation with someone known to him, the man assaulted the victim and forced his way into the victim’s residence. It is further alleged the man damaged numerous items in his mother’s residence. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Lecours, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on February 17th, 2021 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an altercation with another man he did not know, he assaulted the man with a bar and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 4th, 2021.
