FRAUD UNDER $5000, USE FORGED DOCUMENT, OBSTRUCT POLICE, PERSONATION

Cornwall, ON – Audrey Laflamme, 29, and Gabby Desire, 29, both from Laval, QC, were arrested on March 16th, 2021 and charged with fraud under $5000 and use forged document. Audrey Laflamme was also charged with obstructing police and personation with intent. It is alleged on March 16th, 2021, the man and woman attended a local bank and attempted to open a bank account using documentation that did not belong to them. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman identified herself as someone else to police. Both individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and were released to appear in court on June 24th, 2021.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Brockville man was arrested on March 15th, 2021 and charged with criminal harassment and breach of recognizance for contacting a certain person and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 10th and March 11th, 2021, the man repeatedly contacted his cousin, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On March 15th, 2021, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Brockville as the man had been taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17th, 2021 and charged with domestic assault and assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on March 13th, 2021, during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted and choked her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 17th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
