WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Robert Landon, 64, of Long Sault was arrested on May 28th, 2021 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged the man breached his undertaking by failing to report to his bail supervision program and further failed to re-attend court on May 13th, 2021. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On May 28th, 2021, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Lauren Phillips, 31, of Akwesasne was arrested on May 28th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on May 4th, the woman failed to attend court for a failing to attend for fingerprints offence. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 28th, 2021, she was taken into custody while stopped at the Port of Entry. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on August 10th, 2021.

FALSE FIRE ALARM

Cornwall, ON – Ian Lacelle, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on May 29th, 2021 and charged with causing a false fire alarm. It is alleged on May 29th, 2021, the man pulled the fire alarm in his multi-unit residence when there was no fire. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 10th, 2021.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on May 29th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man attended a Second Street business on April 23rd, 2021 and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 29th, 2021, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Ashley Cope, 37, of Peterborough was arrested on May 29th, 2021 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a Schedule I substance, being methamphetamine. It is alleged on May 29th, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drug, when the vehicle struck a Second Street building. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Garry Bartsch, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on May 29th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on May 13th, 2021 for a breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 29th, 2021, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 10th, 2021.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Lynn Pyper, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on May 29th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on May 18th, 2021 for a fraud offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 29th, 2021, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 29th, 2021 and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm, domestic assault, as well as breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the month of May, the man assaulted and choked his ex-common-law wife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 29th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Michael Bayer, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on May 30th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with mischief under $5000 and three counts of breach of undertaking for failing to abide by his curfew, leaving his residence, and failing to keep the peace.  It is alleged the man failed to attend court on March 10th, 2021 for a breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged the man damaged a window at a Montreal Road business on May 30th and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Crystal Poggemoeller, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on May 30th, 2021 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on April 22nd, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On May 30th, 2021, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 22nd, 2021. 

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 31st, 2021 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence and being within a certain distance of his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged during the early morning hours on May 31st, police were investigating a suspicious vehicle, and located the man in breach of his curfew and within a certain distance of his ex-girlfriend. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
