THREATS, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Lori Bustard, 61, of Cornwall was arrested on June 23rd, 2021 and charged with uttering threats and resist police. It is alleged on June 23rd, 2021, the woman made threats to kill someone known to her and police were contacted to investigate. After a brief struggle, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 23rd, 2021 and charged with breach of undertaking for being within a certain distance of her ex-boyfriend’s residence. It is alleged on June 23rd, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence, despite the conditions of her undertaking. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2021. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

TWO INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED DURING DOMESTIC-RELATED BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man and a 21-year-old Cornwall woman were arrested on June 24th, 2021 and charged as follows:

20-year-old man:

  • Assault with a weapon x 2
  • Break and enter x 2
  • Administer noxious substance
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Breach of probation x 7 (for contacting and being within a certain distance of his ex-boyfriend, possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace)
  • Breach of release order x 7 (for contacting and being within a certain distance of his ex-boyfriend, attending a certain address, possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace)

21-year-old woman:

  • Break and enter
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Breach of undertaking x 2 (for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged during the early morning hours on June 24th, 2021, the man forced his way into his ex-boyfriend’s residence, who was not home at the time. When the victim later returned, the man and woman once again entered the residence without permission and assaulted the victim and another individual with bear spray. Police were contacted and took the individuals into custody. They were both charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The names of the individuals were not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
