THEFT UNDER $5000, DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, ON – David Kennedy, 61, of Cornwall was arrested on July 21st, 2021 and charged with theft under $5000 and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged the man attended the property of a Marleau Avenue business and removed metal without permission. It is further alleged while the man was attempting to flee in his vehicle, he struck a motor vehicle in the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2021.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS, DISOBEYING COURT ORDER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man of no-fixed-address was arrested on July 21st, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Domestic mischief
  • Uttering threats
  • Disobeying court order x 2 (for contacting his ex-girlfriend and being within a distance of her)
  • Breach of release order (for failing to reside with his surety)
  • Breach of probation x 6 (for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a distance of her, failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on July 21st, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, where he damaged a door and wall in the residence, as well as made threats to damage her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Lynn Pyper, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on July 21st, 2021 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of release order for failing to abide by her curfew. It is alleged on July 19th, the woman took a television and a deep fryer from someone known to her during the hours of her curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 21st, 2021, police located the woman away from her residence, despite the hours of her curfew. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2021.
