Cornwall, ON – Ronald Regnier, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2021 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the man attended a Ninth Street business on two occasions between May and June and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store on either occasion. The man is further alleged to have breached his probation and failed to attend court in January for a theft offence. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On July 23rd, 2021, the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2021.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – James Labelle, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man attended a Second Street business on June 21st and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 23rd, 2021, the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court at a later date.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man from Deer Lake, ON was arrested on July 22nd, 2021 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her, and police were subsequently contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED BY DRUG, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – Emily Baker, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2021 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, being fentanyl. It is alleged the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drug and police were called to investigate. Police subsequently located the woman operating the motor vehicle and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and Canadian currency. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2021.
