ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – Darius Meekis, 44, of Deer Lake was arrested on July 28th, 2021 and charged with assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on July 28th, 2021, the man assaulted another man known to him, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 12th, 2021.

BREAK AND ENTER, SHOPLIFTING, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Justin Pawis-Lepage, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on July 28th, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5000 x 2
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Fail to attend for fingerprints
  • Breach of release order (for failing to abide by his curfew)

It is alleged on two occasions in June, the man attended two businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores on either date. It is further alleged during the early morning hours on July 12th, the man forced his way into a closed Montreal Road business and took a quantity of money and merchandise, while causing damage to a window. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 28th, 2021, police located the man and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Thomas Cholette, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on July 28th, 2021 and charged with break and enter and two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting a certain person and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 20th, 2021, the man entered the residence of someone known to him without the individual’s permission and police were contacted to investigate. On July 28th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
