WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Peggy Thompson-Lazore, 51, of Akwesasne was arrested on October 29th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend for fingerprints on September 8th, 2021, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 29th, 2021, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 13th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 29th, 2021 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to abide by house rules. It is alleged on October 29th, the youth failed to attend school, despite the conditions set out. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 29th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THREATS, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 29th, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Uttering threats
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Domestic mischief
  • Forcible confinement
  • Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
  • Breach of release order (for failing to abide by house rules)

It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on October 29th, the man choked her, made threats to kill her and prevented her from leaving the residence. He further damaged various household items in the residence. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 29th, 2021 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on October 29th, the man damaged a door at his girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 11th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Trenton Falk, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on October 30th, 2021 and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the early morning hours on October 30th, the man was located outside of his residence, despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Morrisburg woman was arrested on October 30th, 2021 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting her ex-boyfriend and being within a certain distance of him. It is alleged on October 30th, the woman was in the company of her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC BREACH, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 30th, 2021 and charged with four counts of breach of undertaking for contacting her ex-boyfriend and attending his residence. She was also charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance, being two forms of methamphetamine, and resist police. It is alleged on October 27th, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. On October 30th, 2021, she was located at the man’s residence once again. She was taken into custody after a brief struggle, at which time she was found to be in possession of quantity of methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 11th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 31st, 2021 and charged with domestic assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend, the woman assaulted him with a fan and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 31st, 2021 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting his girlfriend and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on October 31st, 2021, the man was located at his girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, while police were investigating a disturbance. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Samantha Derouchie, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on October 31st, 2021 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 31st, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 14th, 2021.

MAN ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE DOMESTIC-RELATED OFFENCES

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 1st, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm x 2
  • Forcible confinement
  • Uttering threats
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (Percocet pills)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Disarming a police officer
  • Obstruct police
  • Assault police
  • Breach of recognizance x 2 (for contacting and being within a certain distance of the victim)
  • Breach of release order x 4 (for failing to remain in residence, contacting the victim, being within a certain distance of the victim and possessing weapons)

It is alleged on November 1st, 2021, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, where he assaulted her, held a knife to her, and choked her. The man further made threats to kill her and prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man attempted to grab an officer’s taser, and further assaulted police, while resisting them. He was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
