WARRANT, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Glen Rasmussen, 66, of Cornwall was arrested on February 2nd, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with failing to attend for fingerprints on July 29th, 2022. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 10th, 2021 for a mischief offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 2nd, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 14th, 2022.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Charlebois, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on February 2nd, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged on January 28th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a weapons offence and police were contacted to investigate. On February 2nd, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FRAUD OVER $5000, FRAUD UNDER $5000, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT, PERSONATION WITH INTENT, USE OF DOCUMENT WITHOUT AUTHORITY

Cornwall, ON – Jason Wreaks, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on February 2nd, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Fraud over $5000
  • Fraud under $5000
  • Utter forged document x 3
  • Personation with intent (identity fraud)
  • Use of document without authority

It is alleged between 2015 and 2019, the man failed to declare changes in his living arrangements to the Ontario Works Resource Centre, which resulted in an overpayment of $28,086.93. He is further alleged to have forged documents and identified himself as someone else in order to receive a cheque that did not belong to him, which he subsequently deposited into his bank account. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On February 2nd, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
