FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Malik Iqbal, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on February 16th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on February 2nd, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On February 16th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 28th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 16th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between February 13 and 14, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite the conditions of his release order and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On February 16th, 2022 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Sherry Burson, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on February 16th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on December 23rd, 2021 for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On February 16th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on April 28th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 65-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 16th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Breach of release order x 4 (for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her, attending her residence, and failing to remain in his residence)
  • Breach of probation x 4 (for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on February 16th, 2022, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
