BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT INDICTABLE OFFENCE, THREATS

 Cornwall, ON – Ismail Echaouni-Benabdallah, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on February 23rd, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Break and enter
  • Assault with a weapon x 2
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Uttering threats

It is alleged on March 13, 2021, the man conspired with two other individuals to commit an assault on two individuals known to him. It is alleged the man and the other individuals assaulted the victims with a weapon, and further made threats to harm a dog in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 23rd, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 31st, 2022.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE X 2

Cornwall, ON – Jesse Laundriault, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on February 23rd, 2022 and charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance. It is alleged on February 4th, 2022, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl. On February 23rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 3rd, 2022.
