WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Mariah Major, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on March 1st, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on October 28th, 2021 and December 21st, 2021 and warrants were issued for her arrest. On March 1st, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Ian Osman, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on March 1st, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on January 12th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On March 1st, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 12th, 2022.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – John Sawatis, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on March 1st, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 11th, 2021, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On March 1st, 2022, the man was in custody on an unrelated matter and was subsequently charged accordingly. He remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

TWO ARRESTED IN IMPAIRED MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

Cornwall, ON – On February 12th, 2022, at approximately 2:30 am, the Cornwall Police Service was called to investigate a motor vehicle collision, involving two motor vehicles, in the area of Montreal Road and Carleton Street. Both motorists obtained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that both motor vehicle drivers were allegedly operating their vehicles while impaired by alcohol.  On March 1st, 2022, they were both charged with the following offences.

Yasicca Brunet, 24, of Cornwall was charged with the following and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Over 80
  • Impaired operation causing bodily harm
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm

Lee Croteau, 24 of Cornwall was charged with the following and released to appear in court on May 12th, 2022:

  • Impaired operation causing bodily harm
  • Operation over 80 causing bodily harm

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH x 2

Cornwall, ON – Kristen Levac, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on March 1st, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of release order for failing to abide by her curfew. It is alleged on February 1st, 2022, the woman had attended the residence of someone known to her, outside of the hours of her curfew, and took the person’s phone without their permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 1st, 2022, the woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop, at which time she was once again found outside of her residence, despite the hours of her curfew. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 12th, 2022.
