ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Maxville youth was arrested on March 7th, 2022 and charged with assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on March 3rd, 2022, the youth assaulted another youth who was known to her, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 7th, 2022, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 7th, 2022 and charged with breach of non-communication order, as well as breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 14th, 2021, while the man was in custody on an unrelated matter, he contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite having conditions of no-contact with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 7th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 12th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
