WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on March 11th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged on December 29th, 2021, the man left his residence, despite the conditions of his release order and attempted to assault someone known to him with an edged weapon. It is further alleged on February 26th, 2022, the man assaulted his mother and made threats to harm her. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On March 11th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in one of the incidents.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 11th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault and mischief. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on March 11th, the man assaulted her and damaged a wall in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FRAUD OVER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Maurice Jordan, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on March 12th, 2022 and charged with fraud over $5000. It is alleged between July 2021 and February 2022, the man fraudulently collected rent money from multiple people, exceeding the amount of $5000, and failed to provide the money to the property owner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 12th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2022.

WARRANTS, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Larry Seguin, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on March 12th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. He was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of release order and probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on seven occasions between January 26th, 2022 and March 12th, 2022, the man attended local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the stores on any occasion. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On March 12th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jason Turcotte, 33, of St. Andrews West was arrested on March 12th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on December 15th, 2020, the man failed to attend court for a fraud offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 12th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Adam Zeran, 45, of Long Sault was arrested on March 12th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on February 1st, 2022 for a mischief offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 12th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant during a traffic stop. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on May 26th, 2022.

FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Amanda MacMillan, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on March 13th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on March 3rd, 2022, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On March 13th, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2022.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Ranger, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on March 13th, 2022 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged on March 13th, 2022, the man made threats to harm someone known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2022.

WARRANT, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on March 13th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. She was also charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on October 20th, 2021, the woman failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 13th, 2022, police were called to investigating a shoplifting incident, in which the woman is alleged to have attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, without making any attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2022.
