WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Cameron McBain, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 9, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 6, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Aug. 9, 2024, police located the man. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Sept. 24, 2024.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Brock Bellmore, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 9, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Aug. 9, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Marlborough Street and Ninth Street East and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Belanger-Bedard, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2024, and charged with mischief - obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property and mischief under $5,000. On Aug. 10, 2024, police responded to a bylaw complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man interfered with the lawful use and enjoyment of and caused damage to his neighbour’s property. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Garry Pyper, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 30, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Aug. 10, 2024, the man was located by police while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2024.

BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS

Cornwall, ON – Elizabeth Sante, 20, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2024, and charged with break and enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence and possession of break-in instruments. On Aug. 10, 2024, police responded to a break and enter complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman broke into a building. She was located and the investigation also revealed the woman was allegedly in possession of break-in instruments. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Spencer Blanchette, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and break and enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence. On Aug. 10, 2024, police responded to a break and enter complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not be within 50 metres of her. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was in contact with the individual and broke into a building. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Aug. 11, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on July 14, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend and to not contact or communicate with her. It is also alleged on this date, an off-duty police officer observed the man to be in contact with the woman he was prohibited from communicating with. On Aug. 11, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

IMPAIRED BY DRUG

Cornwall, ON – Denise Brookfield, 68, of Stittsville, ON, was arrested on Aug. 11, 2024, and charged with impaired operation. On Aug. 11, 2024, the woman was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. An investigation ensued, revealing the woman was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Laura Buckley, 27 of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 11, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 8, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Aug. 11, 2024, the woman was located by police while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
