WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Aug. 12, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:
- Six counts of fail to comply with release order
- Domestic assault
- Fail to attend court
It is alleged on June 25, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to notify of any change of address, to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place he is known to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with her ex-boyfriend. Further investigation revealed she was not residing at the address approved on her release order.
Furthermore, it is alleged on July 2, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place you know him to be. It is also alleged on this date, the woman communicated with her ex-boyfriend and assaulted him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
Finally, it is alleged on July 2, 2024, the woman was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Aug. 12, 2024, police located the woman while on general patrol. The warrants were executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Michael Johnston, 55, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on May 6, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Aug. 12, 2024, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 9, 2024.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Aug. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of criminal harassment - beset and watch complainant. It is alleged in June 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not be within 100 metres of any place his ex-girlfriend lives, works, frequents or is known to be and to not be within 100 metres of any place another specific individual lives, works, frequents or is known to be. It is alleged in June 2024, the man watched and frequently attended a place where the individuals he was prohibited from being within 100 metres of were known to be. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Aug. 12, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.
ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – Raymond Parton, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 12, 2024, and charged with robbery and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged on Aug. 9, 2024, the man attended a Marlborough Street business, brandished an edged weapon and robbed the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 12, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2024.
HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS
Cornwall, ON – Pamela O’Flaherty, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 12, 2024, and charged with harassing communications. It is alleged from Aug. 10, 2024, to Aug. 12, 2024, the woman repeatedly made harassing 911 phone calls. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
DANGEROUS OPERATION, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Jordyn Chandonnet, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 13, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Dangerous operation
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
On Aug. 13, 2024, a member of the CPS observed an individual dangerously operating a motorcycle in the area of Marlborough Street and Water Street. A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on this date, the man provided police with a false name. Further investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating a stolen motor vehicle. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
