CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old Brockville man was arrested on Aug. 13, 2024, and charged with criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate. It is alleged from July 29, 2024, to Aug. 8, 2024, the man harassed his ex-girlfriend by repeatedly messaging her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issue for his arrest. On Aug. 13, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 17, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – The following individuals were arrested on Aug. 13, 2024, and each charged with mischief under $5,000:

  • 13-year-old male youth from Cornwall
  • 13-year-old male youth from Cornwall
  • 14-year-old male youth from Cornwall

It is alleged on Aug. 13, 2024, the youths spray-painted a residence and damaged property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The three individuals were later located by police. The youths were each taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Aug. 13, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Domestic assault with a weapon
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on Aug. 13, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she assaulted her ex-boyfriend with a weapon and damaged his property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 17, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
