WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – Robert Cameron, 55, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and fail to attend for fingerprints.

  • It is alleged on April 14, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • It is also alleged on April 23, 2024, the man once again attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
  • Furthermore, it is alleged on May 9, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Aug. 1, 2024, the man was located by police while dealing with a separate matter. The warrants were executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Aaron Campeau, 41, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 20, 2024, the man attended a Tollgate Road West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on July 12, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 1, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the CPS at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.  

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, DANGEROUS OPERATION, FLIGHT FROM PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Aug. 1, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Dangerous operation
  • Flight from peace officer

It is alleged on July 29, 2024, the youth stole an all-terrain vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged the youth was operating the motor vehicle in a dangerous manner and when located by police, he fled members of the CPS. On Aug. 1, 2024, the youth was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Tina Connors, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with two counts of fail to comply with an undertaking. It is alleged on June 13, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on Aug. 1, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not attend this person’s place of residence. On Aug. 1, 2024, police responded to a disturbance and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and the investigation revealed she was in communication with the individual she was prohibited from contacting at this person’s residence. The warrant was executed and the woman was charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

IMPAIRED, REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Taneisha Smith, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 2, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and failure or refusal to comply with demand. On Aug. 1, 2024, police responded to a possible impaired driver in the area of Prince Arthur Street and an investigation ensued. The woman was later located and the investigation revealed she was allegedly operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. While police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, the woman allegedly refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.
